Our team of Architects and Engineers is well versed with the Energy Policies and Sustainability Frameworks that are available in the market. Our extensive experience as a service provider of Green Building Services extends a continuous advisory support to the organizations wishing to implement these frameworks in their existing/new buildings on their own. GreenTree has started this initiative as a drive of its capacity building program.
GreenTree facilitates Green Ratings (LEED, GRIHA, and BEE's Existing Building) that enables the users/owner of the building to earn credit points. The more the number of points, the higher is the rating of the building which accounts for high energy efficiency of the building.
Rating systems aim to enhance the value of sustainable development by covering various areas under Site development, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Material Used, Indoor Environmental Quality, Comfort Conditions, etc. Our scope of Green Building Rating facilitation includes:
- Awareness programs for the project team on Green building concepts
- Facilitate the project design team to incorporate passive design features, appropriate materials and technology etc. for the project to meet the rating requirements
- Project Documentation
Energy & Daylighting Simulation processes are used to assess and optimize the energy performance and comfort conditions of the building. These analyses are mandatorily required for the buildings opting for Green Building Ratings (LEED/GRIHA) . GreenTree holds a quality experience of using the state-of-the-art tools i.e. eQUEST, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, IES, ECOTECT, DAYSIM, Radiance, etc to do the accurate analysis.
A Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB) is defined as a highly energy efficient building which on annual basis consumes as much energy as it produces at site using renewable energy sources. GreenTree and RITES Ltd. have proposed CMD Block, IGNOU campus at New Delhi as Net Zero Energy Building. By introducing various energy efficiency measures and design level modifications, the aim is to take the building's energy performance level to around 60% over GRIHA benchmark for Air-Conditioned buildings running 8 hours. The proposed building would be a showcase NZEB project developed by government organization.
